Wonderful!

Some food for thought:
* This is the first time the team is involved in organising a race event. As such it is advisable to keep it simple to begin with, and even in the future for manageability's sake.

* Too many events. I would recommend to cut it down to just two : a longer distance race for everyone and a kids' dash. The different groups can be rewarded separately, but with the same race.

* Most important : I strongly recommend not going out of the park for this event. Let's not get into the problems with stopping traffic and handling stray dogs. Better to keep the race within JP Park for the first event. Subsequent events can take on those additional complexities.

* While getting carried away with the race organization details, let's not lose focus on what this is about. This is about running. Us running. Getting our neighbors, friends and families to run with us. I would not recommend starting on formal registration before having at least one trial run (as Rahul suggested doing in his blogpost). Get all the people working on this effort to go on a weekly run at JP Park, and have others join in the effort. If the people organising the race events know about the runners high that comes from setting and meeting a running challenge, they will be much more likely to inspire others to take up running. Else it will be some inexperienced people pointing others in different directions.

Surely the outburst of the entusiastic event participants gave into this schedule of events.

The Events of April 13th will be rescheduled by tommorow and make a final event schedule announced.

Definitely will need to look into the trial run at the event location by volunteers and known runners, family and friends.
